Private project competition by invitation, single-stage, anonymous procedure with six architectural firms and landscape architects.

The swimming pool is the first component of the "Areal Lido" masterplan. The building is located on the north side of the site and is divided into three parts that generate different front zones. Inside, a three-part structure can also be recognized: The wellness area is located above the entrance wing in the west, while the two-storey indoor swimming pools, which are characterized by a strong connection to the outdoor space, are in the south and east. The rooms are marked by the structure of the timber construction, which can be seen on the ceilings and walls. Outside, the large sports pool is slightly elevated, while the smaller pools for children and non-swimmers are located at ground level.
