The remit for this development, built in 1991 solely for office use, was to devise a range of usage scenarios including a large proportion of housing. Removal of the skywalks will result in two separate buildings. The inner courtyard will be transformed into an inviting common area. The conversion incorporates the existing building structure while facilitating new forms of living and working at the same time. The building on Gertrudstrasse features a mixed-use concept consisting of co-working spaces, flexible offices and stylish urban apartments. A residential unit will be created out of the Paulstrasse building, with two-storey townhouses facing the courtyard and studios and commercial spaces on the street side.
