Collaboration with Huggenbergerfries for a new care center and retirement home.
Planning 2017

Contrary to the terms of the competition, the project positions the large-scale nursing home on the edge of the southern industrial area and the retirement apartments near the northern residential area. The decision to create two addresses keeps the grounds car-free and creates a multifaceted park. Paths branching off of the north-south axis lead to the individual buildings. The three residential buildings are arranged as compact multi-unit buildings. The northernmost building, which is designed as a courtyard house, offers space for communal living arrangements. The nursing home is structured as an open, two-storey base construction with a compact four-storey superstructure.
