Open competition

The site is located on the northern edge of the town of Gossau. The three longitudinal structures are set parallel to the contour lines of the terrain, which slopes down towards the west, and are each complemented by a head-end building. The topography also influences the diverse flat typologies, which include compact studio, maisonette and multi-storey flats with 1.5 to 5.5 rooms. A total of fifty per cent of the flats have a direct connection to the adjacent green space. This provides a visually and atmospherically attractive environment that allows for a variety of uses and links up with the open spaces in the neighbourhood.
